Fire Classic

SWS Fire Classic harness and container

Fire for style and accuracy competitors: the container takes a large accuracy main with a smaller reserve, so the rig stays compact for style series, and the 3-ring is moved up for an upright seating position. Offered for reserve/main combinations of 150/252, 175/275 and 200/300 sq ft and larger.

Fire Tandem

SWS Fire Tandem harness and container

Tandem system with adjustable instructor and passenger harnesses; the passenger attaches with four snaps. Maximum take-off weight 250 kg, maximum speed 370 km/h; reserves 290–400 sq ft and mains 310–400 sq ft. RSL is standard and a DRD can be fitted. Accepted for general use by the British Parachute Association. The SWS list price includes the passenger harness and a brass DRD.

Fire

SWS Fire harness and container

The original SWS sport container, developed from 2005 and made serially since April 2008. Every Fire is calculated individually from the jumper’s measurements and canopy sizes rather than from a fixed size chart. Tested to the FAA TSO-C23d test programme and by Airtec; limits 136 kg (300 lb) gross weight and 170 knots. Still on the SWS price list next to the Fire 2.

Fire 2

Second-generation Fire, released on 1 July 2019. The harness was redesigned to hold the rig firmly at high speeds and in tight suits, the main container was simplified (about 1.5 cm slimmer and 100 g lighter than the Fire for the same canopies) and the riser covers were changed to open symmetrically for cross-braced canopies. The SWS price list also offers a “Fire2 TSO” version.

Fire Student

SWS Fire Student harness and container

Student and rental version of the Fire. SWS makes no fixed student set: drop zones choose options such as a fully adjustable harness, student risers, an uncollapsible student pilot chute, a detachable pilot chute pocket, static line, reserve pin and AAD windows and label pockets. Fire Student is accepted for general use by the British Parachute Association. The list price is for the Fire 2 Student.
